It Came From Japan - Visual Awesome

When I think Japan, I think of robot teachers and green tea. I also think of vending machines that sell beer but we will leave my vices out of this. Japan always seems to be at the forefront of the new what's next, even when it comes to fashion. Whether it's adorable hand bags or people dressed up like the characters from Death Note, Japan seems to be marching to the beat of a different taiko drum.

Push your emo bangs aside and peep this out.

IAMX

Chris Corner, co founder of the 90's group Sneaker Pimps, is quite possibly a musical genius. Tucked inside his skull, which is usually located beneath some fancy hat of some sort, is a mind that conjures up some magnificent imagery from the hidden places inside you that you don't tell anyone about.

Kiss + Swallow, IAMX's first album, was released in 2004. It is the kind of album that makes me want to do a bunch of mind altering substances and write stories for children. With every word that Chris Corner puts passed his lips, you are taken deeper down a rabbit hole that that is lined with glitter, found at the end of a dark alley, and guarded by androgynous street walkers that would steal your wallet while they make out with you.

Kiss + Swallow

The Alternative, released in 2006, is a bit more synth pop rather than dark. That doesn't mean it isn't as good as Kiss + Swallow, but just might be even more awesome. Chris Corner's voice is absolutely stellar in Spit It Out. It calls out to you like a bad idea that you want to listen to over and over again while you put on too much mascara and wedge yourself into your little brothers clothes. There's even a video for this song with none other than, oh, why don't you check out the video and guess who it is.

Spit It Out

Come this May, 2009, IAMX is releasing another album entitled "Kingdom of Welcome Addiction." A track called "Think of England" was released late last year and available for free download. If this song is any indiction of the album to come, I am rather excited. I am so excited that it makes me want to pee a little while I'm onstage, smothered in peanut butter, throwing glitter at middle aged business men for "arts sake." IAMX is also putting in a heavy round of stateside touring. Make sure to check IAMX out should they venture near your town.

While the list of all the things that have ruined the world since the release of this series, check out a short rant of some of the finer things that have come from the loins of Twilight.

Watchmen - I Herd U Liek It

$55.7 million dollars is a lot of 20 sided dice. That dollar amount is the weekend take home for Zac Snyder's take on the beloved graphic novel Watchmen. While many a fan crawled out from their basement's and quit playing World of Warcraft long enough to watch Watchmen, the opening weekend fell short of it's box office expectations. Speaking of expectations, how did this film adaptation meet up to yours?

Buzznet 'Watchmen' fans speak up.

Get Stuffed - Twitter @reply Challenge

Last Friday, another @reply challenge was posted to Buzznet's Twitter with some rather snazzy results. The task this week was to take a picture of your favorite stuffed animal. See who has a Tigger and who collects the abandoned stuffed animals that have worn off their novelty once the circus leaves town.

Hug 'em and squeeze 'em!
